A look into the property transformation
by DyeLot Interiors

Repositioning a legacy property into a branded destination
DyeLot Interiors led the full-property renovation of Hotel De Novo Springdale, part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The reimagined hotel preserves its connection to the landscape while showcasing the potential of adaptive reuse. Spanning five buildings, the transformation reflects modern hospitality standards and today’s evolving guest expectations.
Design that reflects place & welcomes every guest
At the entrance to Zion National Park, Hotel De Novo offers more than a place to stay — it sets the tone for the Springdale experience. The renovation embraces the spirit of arrival, creating space for adventure, reflection, and celebration. Natural textures and refined details highlight the contrast between the rugged landscape and the comfort guests seek, delivering a hospitality experience that honors both place and purpose.

Preserving history while introducing modern clarity
The lobby renovation began by refining the existing architecture to lighten and open the space. Timber columns salvaged from the 1988 Yellowstone fire were preserved and encased in fluted glass, a gesture that honors history while introducing a sense of elevation. At the heart of the space, a sculptural fireplace anchors the room, offering guests and the Springdale community a place to pause and reconnect.
Expanded views, stronger connection to nature
To better frame the surrounding landscape, a timber-framed wall in the lobby was partially removed and replaced with a minimally obstructed curtain wall. This move expands sightlines and floods the space with natural light, keeping guests connected to the environment even as they transition indoors.
